The digital world moves fast, but every once in a while, a talent emerges who stops you in your tracks. Enter Valentina—our latest featured spotlight in the Be Like series.

From stepping into her very first high-profile campaign with Malton Couture to setting her sights on global giants like Sephora, Nike, Aeropostale, and Hollister, Valentina isn't just learning the ropes of the modeling industry; she is rewriting them on her own terms.

What sets her apart isn’t just her effortless runway walk, her magnetic stage presence, or the dedication that has her putting in late-night studio practices after crushing it as an honor roll student. It’s her unwavering authenticity.

In an industry often obsessed with superficial perfection, Valentina brings a refreshing wave of genuine confidence, deep-rooted faith, and fierce discipline. Whether she's balancing summer driving lessons and chores with rigorous agency training, or dreaming up campaign concepts that celebrate real self-worth, she proves that true star power comes from staying grounded.

Dive into her exclusive interview below to see how this powerhouse is bridging the gap between local campaigns and national stardom!

The "Origin Story"

You started your journey in April with a clear goal: to model quinceañera dresses for Malton Couture. How did it feel to land your first campaign so quickly, and what did that experience teach you about the professional side of modeling?

Valentina: My goal wasn’t just to model for Malton Couture, but it was to model quinceañera dresses in general. But I felt so happy to land my first campaign because, after tryouts for the modeling agency I'm in, that was the first project where only 12 people were selected—not chosen by our coaches, but by the owner and team from Malton Couture.

Knowing that made me realize like, "Wow, I actually did it," and I thanked the Lord multiple times. I even shed a tear when I found out. This experience taught me that modeling, whether it's photoshoots or video shoots, takes almost the whole day and that usually you need to get hair and makeup done. So that’s what I learned on the professional side of modeling: it takes a lot of time out of your day.

The Professional Pivot

You’ve already mastered the choreography and runway walks for quinceañera modeling. How are you adapting those skills to prepare for the fast-paced, commercial world of brands like Sephora or Nike?

Valentina: I feel like quince modeling has really helped me become more confident in front of the camera and taught me how to take direction. Now I’m just trying to practice different expressions and be more natural since every brand has a different vibe. I’m always learning and improving, and I’d love to model for brands like Sephora or Nike someday.

The "Face" Vision

You’ve expressed a clear ambition to become the face of major global brands. If you could create a campaign for a brand like Aeropostale or Hollister today, what would the concept look like, and how would it showcase your unique personality?

Valentina: I’d want it to feel fun, natural, and something people my age could actually relate to. I’d want to show that you don’t have to be the perfect girl or have the perfect body to be confident—you just gotta be yourself. I think that matches my personality because my faith is a big part of who I am, so I’d love to include something simple like a cross necklace or a meaningful Bible verse. I’d also want the campaign to inspire people to be kind, really confident, and stay true to themselves and their style. At the end of the day, I just want people to see who I really am.

The Discipline Factor

Many people see the glamour of modeling, but you’ve been dedicated to practicing your walk and choreography regularly. How do you balance being a "very smart student" with the rigorous discipline required to succeed in this industry?

Valentina: How I balance my life during the school year: since practices are usually late evening, most of the time I have time to do my homework because that’s always the first thing I do when I come back home. Then I have to go and get ready since the modeling agency is 40 minutes away. But since it's summer, I don’t have homework or school-related things to do; I just go do the things I'm supposed to do like learn how to drive, clean, etc. After that, I go to practice.

Values-Driven Influence

You mentioned that a core part of your life is giving advice rooted in your faith. How do you plan to incorporate your values and your voice into your modeling career as your platform grows?

Valentina: As my platform grows, I want people to know me for more than just modeling. I want to use my voice to encourage others, share my faith, and remind people that their worth doesn’t come from their appearance and that they can always talk to God, whatever the situation is. Whether it’s wearing a cross, sharing a Bible verse, or just showing kindness, I want my values to be part of everything I do. I hope people see someone who’s genuine, confident, a person who really wants to do commercial modeling and always points others back to God.

The Digital Portfolio

You recognize that professional "digitals" are the next step in your evolution as a model. Why do you think having high-quality, professional digitals is the bridge between doing local work and landing national commercial campaigns?

Valentina: I think professional digitals are really important because they’re the first thing brands and agencies see. They show what you actually look like without a bunch of editing or distractions. I feel like having strong digitals makes you look more professional and helps open the door to bigger opportunities. They’re kind of the bridge between doing local modeling and getting noticed for national campaigns.

Beyond the Camera

When you aren't on set or in practice, you prioritize family and travel. How do these experiences outside of the modeling world help keep you grounded and inspire your creative vision when you are in front of the camera?

Valentina: When I’m not modeling, I love spending time with my family and traveling because those are the moments that mean a lot to me. They keep me grounded and remind me of what’s really important at the end of the day. I think seeing new places and making memories also helps me bring more confidence and positive energy in front of the camera. Those experiences help me by shaping who I am today.

The "Paid" Ambition

You’ve been successful at building your experience through hard work. What is your strategy for shifting from building your portfolio to securing paid opportunities that align with your long-term career goals?

Valentina: Right now, I’m focused on building my portfolio and getting as much experience as I can. As I grow, I want to work with brands that align with my values and the kind of modeling I want to do. My goal isn’t just to get paid, but it’s to build a long-term career in commercial modeling with brands I genuinely love. I’m also continuing to put myself out there, apply for opportunities, even if they don’t reply, and keep learning with every experience. I know it takes time, so I’m staying consistent, working hard, and just trusting God’s timing.
