We at Spotlightmodels.org are absolutely thrilled to introduce our very first mother-daughter team, Traci & Kaylee!

As a single mom juggling two jobs, Traci leaned into her daughter Kaylee’s passion for social media, and together, they’ve built something truly magical, authentic, and inspiring.

From creating their very first TikTok to dreaming of a forever home (and a French Bulldog!), these two prove that the strongest bond is the one built on love, teamwork, and a whole lot of patience.

Get to know this dynamic duo in their own words below!

1. The Start & Best Memory

Q: What made you want to start doing this together and what is your favourite memory or achievement so far?

A: "Honestly it's all Kaylee. I wasnt really into social media that much. As a single mom that works two jobs I just never took the time to pay attention to it.

Eventually, I started watching YouTube and Tiktoks with her and as soon as I did that I fell in love. I thought why cant we do that? I just had this feeling that her and I could make great content together. I'm so glad I listened to that instinct.

Our favorite memory together is definitely our first Tiktok we ever created. We had so much fun and it was the start to something so special and meaningful!"

2. Working Together

Q: How do you balance being a mother and daughter with working as a team?


A: "Actually, incredibly well."

"We dont see it as a business life verses personal life. We try to stay authentic and true to ourselves. Everything people will get to see and know of us in our content is completely who we are in real life."

3. Handling Challenges

Q: What is a hard challenge you faced together, and how did you get through it?

A:"For sure the comment section on our social media (Tiktok) videos. It’s a wild world we live in right now and the saying "words can hurt" is so true.

Being Kaylees mama I just want to protect her from that stuff. But I had to come to the realization that sometimes it’s a hard thing to accomplish.

When Kaylee and I do see stuff like that, her and I try to make time to just sit and have a good conversation.

Just letting each other know that no matter what we have each other and continue to do what we have been and have fun along the way!"

4. Future Goals

Q: Where do you see yourselves in the next year?

What are your biggest dreams for the future?

A: "Ourselves in the next year??"

"Well more than anything we hope to be fortunate enough to still be doing social media. We have had such an incredible and positive experience so far, that we would love to still be making fun and friendly content.

We also want to be launching a YouTube channel at some point.

"As far as having a dream, getting to do content we can share with others very much fits that! Buying our forever home/house is a big one that we would love to do one day." "And a French Bulldog!!!" (LOL, that last part was Kaylee)

5. Advice for Others

Q: What is the best piece of advice you have for other mother/daughter teams who want to follow in your steps?

A:"The biggest piece of advice we can give any mother/daughter creators like ourselves is Patience.

Getting there takes time. There were times that Kaylee and I both wondered "is this ever going to happen?" "Will our content ever take off?"

Once we learned how to have patience, it finally started to happen for us. So please dont give up! Have belief and faith in yourselves, because if we can do it so can YOU!" 🩷
