Be Like Rosabella (RB)
Finding Beauty in the "Unusual"
6/8/20264 min read

Some people wait for the perfect conditions to pursue their dreams, but RB is busy creating her own canvas. A self-described country girl with big-city dreams of New York and LA, RB is stepping into the spotlight with a vision that is as bold as it is beautiful. For RB, modeling is a powerful form of visual art—a medium to challenge rigid standards and celebrate what makes us unique.
Diagnosed with diabetes at age eight, she proudly features her insulin pump and Dexcom monitor in front of the camera, proving that what the world calls "different" is actually where true beauty hides. Whether she is rescuing critters or advocating for authentic body image, RB embodies everything Spotlight Models stands for.
Read on to get to know RB in her own words.
Embracing the Spotlight & Big City Dreams
Q: You've described yourself as a country girl with big city dreams of living in New York or LA, and you clearly love the spotlight! What draws you to the energy of the city, and how do you see yourself balancing your two big passions—acting and becoming a veterinarian—in the future?
RB: "What draws me to the city is probably the freedom that it offers you and the idea that you don't know what to expect everyday or look forward to the same exact routine everyday. As for my passions, modeling and acting, and my love for animals. I plan to balance that out by my main goal being modeling and acting, and then I could still take care of animals in need on the side."
Redefining Beauty & Inspiring Others
Q: You've shared that being diagnosed with diabetes at age eight is a major driving force behind your modeling. How does it feel to proudly show your pump and Dexcom in front of the camera, and what message do you hope to send to other young people living with similar conditions?
RB: "It feels good to proudly show my pump and Dexcom in front of the camera because I know that even with a disorder I can still do everything that everyone else can. I hope I can help others with similar conditions know that they don't have to worry about being 'normal' or the same as everyone else, because you can still do the most amazing things, just like anyone. Being different is more beautiful than trying to be the same as everyone else."
The Message of Self-Love
Q: You firmly believe that all women are beautiful and that things like body shape, makeup, or clothes don't define us. What advice would you give to someone who is struggling with their body image and trying to learn how to love themselves again?
RB: "The advice I would give to someone who is struggling with body image is that they are not alone in how they feel, almost everyone struggles with body image in their own way. People could look up to you, even if you feel like you need to change something about yourself and seeing more people comfortable in their own body, no matter what size, could help change how others feel about themselves."
From Canvas to Camera
Q: Instead of sports, you've always been drawn to arts and crafts, and you're an incredibly talented artist—especially when it comes to drawing your dog, Spot! How does your passion for drawing and visual art influence the way you express yourself during a photo shoot?
RB: "My passion for art influences the way I express myself because art is mainly about finding the beauty in the different things and in things that are considered 'unusual' compared to what most of the world believes is 'perfect' and I believe that modeling is kinda like art, just a different form of it."
The Ultimate Animal Rescuer
Q: From catching critters outside to bringing home a baby bunny, your love for animals runs deep. Do you have a favorite rescue story you can share with us, and how do your two brothers react to your constant stream of furry houseguests?
RB: "My favorite animal rescue story would probably be my toad Timothy because shortly after I had someone very close to me pass away, Timothy showed up in our yard, which was odd because we have never seen frogs or toads in our yard, and still haven't since Timothy and even if it sounds funny, after doing some research we found out that toads could be a sign of a deceased loved one.
That night I took Timothy in and got him a big tank and did research on him so I was able to provide him with a safe and good new home for him. That night was around the middle of last year, around my birthday and he is still with us."
What Makes RB, "RB"
Q: The Spotlight Models community is all about celebrating authenticity. If you could summarize the core message you want the world to take away from your journey, your art, and your modeling career, what would it be?
RB: "The core message I want people to take away from my journey, art, and modeling career, is that it's okay to be different and that you don't have to try and live up to what the world considers to be the 'perfect' beauty standards in order to be beautiful or normal, you should always try and find the beauty in the small or 'unusual' thing in life, including yourself."
