Here is our exclusive Q&A interview with Madison:
Having walked major runways like New York Fashion Week from such a young age, how has your early industry experience shaped your professional resilience and personal brand?
Walking in New York Fashion Week at a young age has taught me that success in this industry is about much more than wearing beautiful clothes, it’s about professionalism, confidence, and resilience. Every runway, photoshoot, and opportunity has pushed me to grow, adapt, and believe in myself.
What specific moments or behind-the-scenes challenges during high-profile shows have taught you the most about navigating the fashion world as a young professional?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that what happens behind the scenes is just as important as what the audience sees on the runway. Fashion shows move quickly, schedules change, fittings happen at the last minute, and you have to be prepared to adapt while remaining calm and professional. I’ve learned that being reliable, respectful, and positive leaves a lasting impression.
Between high-energy runway shows, editorial print work, and commercial campaigns, what particular styles, aesthetics, or creative concepts do you most prefer to shoot when you step in front of the camera?
I love the versatility that modeling offers because every project allows me to become a different version of myself. While I enjoy commercial work and runway shows, editorial fashion is where I feel the most creative. I love high-fashion concepts that tell a story through movement, styling, and expression. Having a background as a competitive dancer has helped me bring emotion and confidence to the camera, allowing me to create dynamic images.
Recognizing the specific struggle of finding well-fitting clothes for tall frames, what is your initial vision for your upcoming clothing line, and how do you plan to tackle sizing and structural design challenges differently than mainstream brands?
I love the versatility that modeling offers because it has made me very aware of how differently clothing fits on tall frames and how often standard sizing overlooks proportion.
Because of that, my initial vision for my clothing line is to create elevated, fashion forward pieces specifically designed for tall women, where fit is just as important as style. I want to move away from simply scaling up existing patterns and instead build garments with intentional tall proportions, longer inseams, properly adjusted rises, extended sleeve lengths, and balanced torso structure so the clothing actually falls the way it is meant to.
My approach to sizing would include dedicated tall blocks, real fit testing on women with different tall proportions, and more flexible design elements like adjustable hems, stretch panels, and modular details that allow each piece to adapt to the wearer rather than forcing the wearer to adapt to the clothing.
How do you see your firsthand experience as a runway model directly informing your perspective and decisions as an emerging fashion designer?
Modelling has given me a unique perspective on fashion because I’ve experienced clothing from both the runway and the fitting room. Walking for designers at New York Fashion Week has shown me how important fit, movement, and confidence are, not just how a garment looks. As someone who is tall, I’ve often struggled to find clothing that fits correctly, which has inspired my goal of designing stylish, well fitting pieces specifically for tall women. I want to create fashion that is both beautiful and functional, helping women feel confident the moment they put it on.
Founding Madison’s Empowering Movement Operation (MEMO) is an incredible achievement—what inspired you to scale your volunteer efforts into an official initiative, and what has been the most rewarding community drive you’ve organized so far?
I founded Madison’s Empowering Movement Operation (MEMO) because I wanted to show that anyone can make a difference through volunteering, no matter their age or how big or small the act may be. I wanted to inspire other young people to get involved and strengthen our community. One of the most rewarding projects has been organizing toy and donation drives for local families and community organizations. Seeing the generosity of our community and knowing those donations brought comfort and joy to others has been incredibly meaningful. The greatest reward is knowing that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.
Being the first person to receive the Bristol Youth Recognition Award three consecutive years is a historic milestone; how do you sustain your momentum and passion for service alongside your demanding modeling and academic schedules?
Receiving the Bristol Youth Recognition Award three years in a row is an incredible honor and reminds me why I love serving my community. I stay motivated by remembering that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether I’m modelling, dancing, volunteering, or focusing on school, I try to stay organized and make the most of every opportunity.
Volunteering isn’t something I fit into my schedule, it’s part of who I am. Through MEMO, I’ve been able to combine my passion for community service with my platform to inspire others to give back. Knowing I can encourage even one person to make a difference makes every effort worthwhile.
Navigating major knee reconstruction surgery during your senior year of high school and competitive dance season requires immense mental and physical fortitude—what core mindset helped you stay positive and focused during your rehabilitation?
My knee injury and MPFL reconstruction surgery taught me that resilience isn’t about never facing challenges, it’s about how you respond to them. Missing much of my dance season was incredibly difficult, but I chose to focus on what I could control, working hard in physical therapy, staying positive, and believing I would come back stronger.
My family, faith, and the support of my team kept me motivated throughout my recovery.
The experience reminded me to appreciate every opportunity, whether it’s on the dance floor, the runway, or in my community. It also reinforced the importance of perseverance and never giving up on the goals that matter most.
Looking ahead to graduation and beyond, how do you plan to balance your expanding career in high fashion, your fashion design ambitions, and your ongoing commitment to community leadership?
After graduation, I plan to balance my modeling career, fashion goals, and volunteer work through organization, dedication, and staying true to my values. My experiences in dance, academics, and service have taught me the importance of time management and commitment.
I hope to continue growing in the fashion industry while using my platform through Madison’s Empowering Movement Operation (MEMO) to inspire others and give back. My goal is to combine my passions for fashion, creativity, and community service to make a positive impact.
