From Level 8 Gymnastics to the Runway
Question: Gymnastics requires immense physical discipline and focus. How has your eight years competition experience at a high level helped prepare you for the fast-paced world of modeling and runway shows?
8 years of high-level gymnastics taught me how to stay calm under pressure and focus on the execution even when everything is moving so fast. I’m used to disciplined practice, precise timing, and maintaining control of my body, which directly helps me to runway performance.
The competitive mindset also helps me handle last-minute changes and still deliver confidently.
The Triple Threat
Question: You are actively pursuing acting, modeling, and dancing all at once. How do these three art forms inspire and influence each other when you are on stage or in front of the camera?
Acting helps me bring out emotion and intention to my modeling and movement, so I’m not just posing—I’m telling a story. Dancing gives my body awareness, rhythm, and expression, which makes my performance look more alive on camera.
Modeling, in turn, strengthens my posture and presence, so when I act or dance, I'm doing it naturally.
Contemporary Storytelling
Question: As part of a professional contemporary and lyrical dance company, how do you use movement to tell a story without using any words?
I focus on practicing, the character, and the energy behind each movement, so the audience can feel what’s happening even without dialogue. Dynamics like pauses, reach, fall, and acceleration help show emotions and transitions clearly.
By connecting movement to a clear beginning, conflict, and resolution, I can communicate meaning through the body alone.
Stepping into Cabin Number 9
Question: With rehearsals for your leading speaking role in Cabin Number 9, how do you approach building your character?
I start by breaking the script into moments, so I always know what my character wants in each scene. I also explore the backstory like what they fear, what they hide, and what changes them. Then I practice the lines with intention—so the performance feels truthful, not memorized.
Switching Gears
Question: How do you transition between physical performance and deep emotional script work?
My favorite way to get into character is to use movement into emotion, similar to how gymnastics teaches me awareness and control. I focus on posture, breath, and rhythm first, because when the body shifts, the feelings follow more naturally.
From there, I connect the emotion to specific choices in the script, so I can build a real, layered character—not just a performance.
The Honor Society Standard
Question: Balancing high-level academics in the Honor Society with a busy performance schedule takes serious dedication. What is your secret to staying organized?
My secret to staying organized is using a consistent system: I plan ahead, prioritize deadlines, and break everything into smaller tasks I can finish daily. I also set time blocks for studying, rehearsals, and rest, so school and performance both get real attention.
When the schedule gets busy, I reassess what’s urgent, communicate with teachers or directors if needed, and stay focused on progress instead of perfection.
Leading by Example
Question: What does leadership mean to you, both in the classroom and within creative collaborative spaces?
To me, being a leader means showing up prepared, staying disciplined, and treating others with respect—whether I’m in the classroom or on a creative team.
I try to lead through actions by being reliable, kind, and open to feedback, because that sets the tone for everyone.
In the creative community, I also support collaboration by encouraging others and bringing positive energy so we can all create our best work together.
Runway Confidence
Question: What key lessons did you take away from stepping onto the runway for your second major fashion experience?
Stepping onto the runway through my second experience taught me that confidence is built, not just felt. I learned that strong presence comes from controlled breathing, clear posture, and focusing on the walk and intention rather than distractions.
Most importantly, I realized that under the lights, staying grounded in my training helps me look calm and powerful.
The Dream Ahead
Question: Looking to the future, what are your ultimate goals as a performer, and what is your biggest dream?
The biggest goal I’m excited to chase next is continuing to grow as a well-rounded performer—especially through more film projects. I want to keep building my skills in acting, movement, and confidence so I can take on roles that really challenge me.
Beyond that, I’m looking forward to inspiring others by showing that hard work at a young age can lead to real opportunities. My dream is to move to NY and become a well-known actress and model.
