Be Inspired. Be Like Victoria
Be Like Victoria

They say the camera loves her, but we know the secret: it’s because she loves it right back. From her early days navigating the nerves of her first pageant to commanding the runway with a fierce, natural grace, Victoria’s growth has been nothing short of inspiring.
Join us as we explore the habits, the heart, and the high heels that make her the incredible force she is today.
Victoria’s journey is a beautiful testament to what happens when you combine raw, natural poise with the pure, unbridled joy of an eight-year-old. Whether she is practicing her signature "Itzel" poses in front of a mirror or learning the discipline of "stepping into the office" for a high-fashion shoot, she treats every moment as an opportunity to grow.
She is more than just a face for a lens; she is a young advocate spreading messages of bravery and empowerment to everyone she meets.
This is Victoria—a girl who is just getting started, yet already knows exactly who she is.
By balancing the demands of a third-grade student with the professional rigor of a working model, she proves that confidence isn't about being perfect; it’s about having the courage to show up, the resilience to try your best, and the kindness to uplift others along the way.
We are proud to feature her story as a reminder that with enough heart, any dream is within reach.
The Victoria Feature
The Runway Evolution"Victoria has such a natural, polished poise. At what point did you realize that her background in gymnastics and dance was perfectly priming her for the runway, and does she still 'rehearse' her walk in everyday situations like at the grocery store or walking to class?"
Victoria got into modeling after participating in a beauty pageant in Orlando in which she had no formal training, experience, or understanding of pageantry. It was so hard for her to get on the stage knowing she wasn’t prepared like the other girls. Yet she kept going. She showed up and tried her best every time she got on the stage.
It was from that experience that I saw that even though she lacked pageantry skills, she had a natural poise and calm and determination about her that made the camera love her. She attends modeling classes on Sundays, walks on her little treadmill daily, and practices posing in front of the mirror. She even names her combination of poses after people she works with or admires—the “Itzel” is her favorite.
Even though she didn’t win, she used her time backstage to make the other girls feel better, telling them they were “strong” for participating. In her own sadness, she had the courage to make others feel better.
The 'It' Factor "In the modeling world, charisma is everything. What is one 'behind-the-scenes' habit or personality quirk of Victoria’s that you think makes her stand out to photographers and designers the second she steps in front of the lens?"
Victoria sees modelling as playtime because she gets to dress up and take lots of pictures. The element of play helps her enjoy it so much that it’s easy for the camera to follow.
The 'Model-to-Human' Switch "Modeling requires 'the look,' but we know Victoria has a lot of personality! What’s the funniest thing she does the moment the director yells 'cut'—is it a victory dance, a silly face, or does she immediately go back to playing?"
So Victoria picked up a saying from Mike Catalan, a well-respected and great photographer in El Paso, known as “stepping into the office”. That’s the cue she hears, and she turns on her model professionalism. But as soon as she “steps out of the office,” it’s back to playing and running around like a typical 8-year-old.
The Closet Chronicles"Every model has their own unique sense of style. If you let Victoria pick out her own outfit for a high-fashion editorial shoot, would she go for something classic and elegant, or would she show up in something totally wild, sparkly, and unexpected?"
Victoria would probably pick something simple and classic. But beware of the shoes she wears! She loves high heels, and if they have animal print or sparkles, that’s what she is going to wear.
Handling the Spotlight"Modeling requires incredible confidence. When she’s at a shoot or preparing for a big pageant event like Nuestra Belleza Internacional Texas, what is your go-to 'pre-show' ritual to help her stay grounded and confident before the cameras start rolling?"
In photoshoots, she “steps into the office,” which to her means it’s time to get serious. For big events, she uses phrases on repeat to herself like, "You are strong, you are brave, you are smart, and you are loved."
I repeat them with her before and after any show for her to remember that a crown or a show doesn’t define her. She continues to be Victoria, a happy 8-year-old, when she gets off the stage.
The Balancing Act "She is already mastering the art of the 'professional model schedule' while being a third-grade student. How does she keep her cool and maintain her sense of fun when she’s balancing a busy modeling calendar with her school and language studies?"
She continues to see things as playtime; school comes first, then anything extra is just for fun.
Defining Her Own Lane"Victoria isn't just a model; she’s an advocate with Victoria’s Words of Wonder. How does she manage to infuse her own message of empowerment into her modeling portfolio, and do you see her modeling career as a way to grow that platform?"
Her modeling career is a way to grow her platform. Every time she gets on stage, it is a reminder that anyone can do anything; all it takes is some bravery and believing in yourself.
The Future of the 'Little Star' "Representing El Paso is a huge honor. When you look at her photos or watch her walk the runway today, what is the one quality she possesses that makes you think, 'She was born to do this'?"
She is fierce down the runway. She has a natural walk that, of course, has been polished with experience, but it has always been there. I’m not sure if she was born to do this, but what I am sure of is that as long as she continues to enjoy it, I will help her keep doing it.
She is a confident young girl, and at the end of the day, if she can use that confidence in other parts of her life down the road, it’s a win.
